Insurance

I am an out of network provider. I am not in network with insurance.

Many insurance companies have an out of network policy which allows you to choose the provider you want.

In this case you will pay me in full at the time of service and you will have the following options:

1. I will provide you with a receipt with all the information you will need to file for out of network. Depending on your out of network benefit your insurance company will reimburse you.

Or

2. If you want I can file your out of network claim and depending on your out of network benefit your insurance company will reimburse you.

As an out of network provider I do not have access to your insurance benefits and claims. Therefore, In both the above options you will be responsible to find out about your out of network benefits and you will also be responsible to keep tract of your claims with your insurance company.

In order to determine if you have out of network mental health coverage check with your insurance company. Here are some helpful questions you can ask them:

Do I have out of network mental health benefits?

What is my out of network mental health benefit?

Do I have a deductible, If yes then, how much is it and after the deductible is met what percent will the insurance cover?

Are services from a Licensed Professional Counselor covered under my out of network mental health benefits?

Payment method

Payment is expected at the time of service.

I accept the following type of payment:

Credit cards

FSA and HSA cards (please verify with the respective company before using your HSA or FSA card for counseling services)

How do I schedule an appointment?

If you are interested in working with me then send me an email with a couple of lines about what you are looking to work on. We will set up an appointment for a 20 minute free video consultation to see if we are a good fit. If both of us feel like we are a good fit then we set up the first appointment.

How do we meet online?

After we schedule the first appointment I will email you a link to a secure client portal for you to create an account in the portal and complete the intake paperwork. You will receive a reminder email 24hours before you appointment. The email will have the link to the session embedded in it. When you click on the link you will be able to sign into the secure video session.

What would the sessions look like?

In the first few sessions you tell me about what brought you in, whats currently happening in your life. The things that you want to work on. Over the next few sessions we set up your goals for therapy and create a treatment plan to help achieve your goals. We talk about your life and your story. Your life currently, memories and experiences from your childhood and different phases of your life.

This is a collaborative process. I see you as an expert on your life and I come in with my clinical expertise and experience.

This journey is not about me telling you what to do. This is about you being able to acknowledge and accept what you truly want for yourself. What will make you feel in harmony with your thoughts, feelings and actions and take the steps towards attaining those goals. I will be holding space for all your part.

I will help you identify and process resistance that hold you back

Guide you to recognize and identify your growth edge and encourage and challenge you

Bring things to your awareness that you might be overlooking

Teach you techniques to regulate your nervous system

Help you identify your strength and inner resources and encourage you to lean on them

How long and often are the sessions?

The sessions are 50-55 minutes long and held weekly. We check in and evaluate goals from time to time to see how you are doing and based on your progress we move to every other week and then move to once a month for check ins.

How long does therapy take?

The amount of time in therapy will depend on what your goals are and what you want to work on. It’d different for everyone. This is a collaborative process, we talk about your progress and evaluate your goals and depending on how you feels we will make decisions.
